Tipsy Tuesday-Keeping Track of Chores

I know that I can’t be the only one who has a hard time tracking what chores I’ve told my kids to do, let alone my own to-do list. We stay really busy year-’round & keeping up with housework is always a challenge. I can get pretty overwhelmed when my house is a wreck, dinner isn’t planned, & we have to be in 2 different places at the same time. My solution? Carbon “orders” where I can write out each day’s chore. I know it sounds “old-fashioned” to do it this way, but I can write up everyone’s to-do list in less than 1/2 the time it would take to punch it all into my phone.

My shore list for today.

My chore list for today. I only write the things that are priorities to get done for the day. There’s no way I could fit everything that needs done on one sheet!

I tear off the top sheet & give it to my kids (or if it’s my chore list, stick it in my pocket). This way, there’s always an extra copy in case someone loses their list, or if I forget what chores I assigned.  It really helps eliminating any arguing over what needs to be done.

I like using the statement sheets, mostly because there’s more lines for what I need to get done (the kids usually only have 4-5 chores for the day). In the past, I’ve used phone message pads & they worked well, but I prefer the size of these better.

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!
